I fly in an area where there are many windmills. They are generally clustered in individual parks. When I get an obstacle warning from SD, it warns me about every single windmill. This can be annyoing if I get 10 individual warnings about obstacles which are only 100 m or so apart.

Suggestion: issue only a‌‌ single warning if obstacles are spaced very closely together. The warning message could alert the pilot that it is about multiple obstacles.

Currently we filter obstacles so we only includes ones every half mile, so the notion of us having them spaced every 100m sounds like a bug. Can you give me the coordinate of this area please so we can look at them?

One such area is N475034.40 E0170134.60. There are more of those, however.

Ok, those are at least 0.5nm apart. Anyway. I agree with what you are saying, it's just a question of defining how this feature should work, where SkyDemon will ignore other nearby obstructions when you dismiss the warning for one of them. Clearly some parameters have to be set. Any ideas?

No idea if it is technically feasible but could you "draw" a line around the cluster using each windmill's location as a co-ordinate.
A bit like you process NOTAM info by converting co-ordinates to a shape.

I also have this issue at times. I operate out of Damyn's Hall, and if I'm approaching from the south east I get constant building warnings from the Dartford Bridge, wind turbines, chimneys, etc etc all within about a 6nm stretch. This is particularly apparent if you're changing course a bit (e.g. positioning for the circuit) or approaching from Rochester. Can be quite distracting at a phase of the flight when I really need to be thinking about a lot of other things...

Perhaps it could be range based. At the current warning range, if there is a general area of tall stuff if could highlight all of them at once and give a single warning showing the max recommended height. Then once you get closer and it's clear which of the buildings are real conflicts then give another group warning for a smaller set of buildings.

In any case, I think the 0.5nm range is probably too small, and something more like 1.5nm. In my case it's 7 buildings over a 6 mile line.

*something like 1.5nm would be better.

Incidentally I think it's still important to highlight the individual buildings with their own little red circles at this spread. The change would be to highlight them all in a single warning if they're only separated by 1.5 miles.
